Capital Area SOPHE was established in 1963 to promote and contribute to
the advancement of health for all people in the National Capital Area.
Since its initial designation as a local chapter of the Society for
Public Health Education in 1963, NCA SOPHE has been involved in a wide
range of activities to encourage study, improve practices, and elevate
standards within the field of public health education. NCA SOPHE serves
public health professionals and the local communities of Washington, DC,
Maryland, and Virginia.
