National Capital Area Society for Public HealthEducation (NCA SOPHE) is a
chapter of the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE), an independent professional association of health education professionals and students
throughout the United States and 25 international countries.


Health Educators associated with the School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University founded NCA SOPHE in 1987. It is a 501(c)(3) organization
established to partner with SOPHE for the purpose of providing leadership and
support to those in the professions of public health education and

health promotion in DC, MD, and VA.
